Functional Genomics Intern

Job Summary:
A training opportunity/unpaid internship is available at the Center for Functional Genomics at LJI. The Functional Genomics Center is a core facility for performing genetic screens using RNA interference and CRISPR/Cas9 techniques. Under supervision of the Core staff, the intern will be assisting with various laboratory tasks and participate in conducting cellular and molecular biology experiments. The internship position is open to current undergraduate students (upper division standing preferred) interested in gaining new laboratory skills and learning functional genomics methodology. Knowledge of basic lab techniques (e.g. sterile techniques and cell culture) is preferred. This position requires a commitment of at least 8-10 hours per week.
