Research Technician I (CB-Liu)

Job Summary
Our independent, non-profit research institute is currently seeking a highly motivated researcher for an immediate opening in the Cellular Biology research group. Our laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune response, with particularly emphasis on the lymphocyte development, differentiation, and function, using mouse models of inflammation and infection. This position involves the management of mouse colony including breeding, genotyping, and related animal procedures; ordering and maintaining lab reagents and stocks; and working with a group of postdoctoral researchers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The individual will support active research and day-to-day operations of our research laboratory under the direct supervision of post-doctoral scientists. Previous experiences with sterile technique, tissue culture and handling of laboratory mouse are required. Experience with molecular biology (such as PCR), and cellular immunology techniques (such as FACS), are an additional plus. Candidates should be motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic and hard working. Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential.


Requires a BA/BS Degree with 1-3 years prior laboratory experience.
