Job Summary
Do you enjoy writing? Do you have a science background? The La Jolla Institute is seeking a motivated and organized individual to assist in the editing and writing of scientific documents. This position will work closely with the principal investigator (lead researcher), as well as the research project team, to write and edit scientific manuscripts, research grants, and related research documents. This position provides a unique chance to work with some of the world’s most influential scientists in the fields of cancer and cardiovascular research.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include meeting with lead investigator and team members, coordination of manuscript and grant writing, preparing and submitting documents related to scientific publications and conferences. Excellent writing and editing skills are essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent written, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and be highly motivated to learn quickly in order to become an actively contributing member of the team.

Leveling Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree
•Experience in scientific writing.
•Excellent time management and organizational skills
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
