Mr. Bowles, a serial entrepreneur and start-up advisor and investor, has had a long and distinguished career in technology, venture capital, and health care. He is co-founder of Truvian Sciences, Inc, a San Diego-based stealth healthcare company; a Board member of Edico Genome, a bioinformatics processing startup; and an investor in nascent San Diego businesses, including Wrapify, Singular Genomics, CleverPet, and TruMed Systems, a vaccine storage-tech company.
Mr. Bowles is the founder of EcoATM, an electronic recycling kiosk-maker, which was acquired in 2013 by Constar’s parent company, Outerwall. He chairs the San Diego Venture Group to match founders with investors, serves as a mentor to the Qualcomm-TechStars Robotics program, advises entrepreneurs who participate in the EvoNexus accelerator, and frequently guest lectures on entrepreneurism and innovation at Duke, Stanford, UC San Diego, USD, SDSU, Pepperdine, Hult, PLNU, Wharton, and Harvard.
Mr. Bowles is a Board member and senior fellow at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and University of San Diego’s Center for Peace and Commerce. He holds an M.S. in Technology Management from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
