Pamela K. Wasserman, M.P.H.

Mrs. Wasserman is a co-general partner of Wasserman Companies, which owns and manages commerical and residential real estate in California. In 1973, Pamela and her husband Fred founded Maxicare Health Plans, Inc., one of the nation’s early HMOs. She served as President and Director of the HMO, which grew to operate in 26 states with 7,000 employees. After retiring from the HMO in 1988, the couple purchased Christopher Creek Winery, an award-winning Sonoma County-based winery, which they operated for 16 years. Mrs. Wasserman is still actively involved in business today, owning and managing commercial and resident real estate and growing oranges in the Central Valley. Mrs. Wasserman was also was a Director of the Robert Kennedy Community Hospital, the Healdsburg Community Hospital, and a member of the Dean’s Council at the UCLA School of Public Health. She is currently a Director of the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mrs. Wasserman attended UCLA, where she received a B.A. (cum laude) in Psychology and an M.P.H in Health Services Management.
