Tuberculosis

T cell responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and vaccination: Following completion of a massive epitope discovery effort (also supported by an NIH contract), current work on TB includes identifying T cell signatures and immune responses elicited by non-tuberculous mycobacteria, which may influence TB-specific immune responses, and identifying immune mechanisms that can distinguish individuals with high risk of progression to active infection.
