Celebrating 5 Years of SPARK

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, LJI supporters and scientists gathered to celebrate 5 years of the Tullie and Rickey Families SPARK Awards program. It was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the incredible impact being made by SPARK winners and how they are helping to shape the future of science and research.

We are grateful to all the SPARK supporters who have helped raise more than $1.1M for SPARK since the program’s inception. And we are especially thankful for the investment and belief of the Tullie and Rickey families at such a critical time in SPARK’s history, allowing us to confidently build a nimble program that has fulfilled and exceeded its early promises to offer a flexible career path for new researchers.

To commemorate the program’s five year milestone, we put together this video to reflect on the program’s growth and thank our donors. The video includes special selfie videos from past SPARK winners, near and far, sharing what this program has meant to them. Cheers to five years!
