Hunt Pettit

Mr. Pettit is the founder and CEO of Whitehorse Energy, a Forth Worth, Texas-based, independent exploration and production company. He founded the company, which focuses on the acquisition, exploration, and development of conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources, in 2008 with his own funds and grew the company from a small start-up into a highly successful operation.

Mr. Pettit has served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Energy & Exploration Partners. Prior to founding Energy & Exploration Partners, he served as contract land manager for the Barnett Shale Project for David H. Arrington Oil & Gas, Inc., a privately held oil and gas company located in Midland, Texas.

Mr. Pettit earned a Bachelor of General Studies in Biology, Chemistry and Philosophy from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. His interest in medical research, particularly immunology, was ignited when he lost his parents to pancreatic cancer. Mr. Pettit is a big supporter of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and a Member of the 7th Avenue Steering Committee supporting Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
